Dementia/Alzheimers Services
Clients best-suited for these services are at a very fragile stage of life. OIKOS Cares provides a high standard of compassionate care that ensures a superior quality-of life for clients and peace-of-mind for families. Team OIKOS:
-
- Sets realistic, client-centered goals each day, based on individual needs and functional capacity. Our care focuses on developing coping strategies.
- Encourages clients to engage in stimulating activities that help to maximize independence and fosters physical and emotional well-being.
Respite Care
Caring for a family member who may be suffering from dementia, or other “end-of-life” circumstances, can be very time-consuming and stressful at times. Planned, or emergency temporary care, is a mutually-beneficial service that supports primary caregivers and those in their care. This time-limited service offers families an opportunity to recharge and rejuvenate themselves. It is provided as a means to:
- Support primary caregivers, including family, and other unpaid caregivers.
- Provide a positive experience for those receiving care.
End-of-Life Care
As spouses, parents, and loved ones come to the final stage of their life cycles, Team OIKOS is there to provide responsive, compassionate care that meets, and even exceeds, family/client expectations. Ensuring clients’ comfort is a key element of our exceptional service and care. We value every client’s dignity, honoring their ability to make decisions – according to their personal care plan.
