Oikos (oΐkoς) n. – Ancient Greek: Term used to refer to the basic unit of society, the Family. Traditionally, anyone who spent quality, face-to-face time with a family – was considered a member of the oikos. In Greek society today, oikos includes those who interact with each other socially for several hours each week – especially through face-to-face contact and conversation.

Our primary goal is to be a constant source of comfort to our clients; by showing compassion, patience, and a loving demeanor. This is what we mean by, “We Put Love on a Pedestal.”

Our Services

We provide high-quality services ranging from homemaker/companion care, with light housekeeping, to personal care. It is our goal to provide premium care at a reasonable rate. We offer flexible schedules from two (2) to four (4) hour shifts as well as twenty-four (24) hour live-in service, seven (7) days a week.

Homemaker/Companion Care

Delivering basic non-medical assistance, guidance, and supervision for functionally-limited, elderly in the comfort of their own homes.

Personal Care

We maintain clients’ daily, personal hygiene and comfort. PCAs provide clients with bedpans, urinals, back rubs, shampoos, and shaves and assist with showers, baths, dressing, and undressing.

Live-In Care

OIKOS Cares provides 24/7, round-the-clock, live-in service to ensure client safety and security.

Dementia/Alzheimers Care

Individuals who are aware that patience and flexibility are key to encouraging client continued independence and frustration in their daily lives.

Respite Care

Individuals who provide short-term relief for primary caregivers. Service can be arranged for an afternoon, several days or weeks. Service can be provided at home, in a healthcare facility or at an adult day center.

End-of-Life Care

Individuals who make sure the client is comfortable and takes care of their needs as their final days approach.
